You will join the Finance division and report directly into the CFO working amongst the decision makers and front office fund managers. You will be responsible for ensuring full budgetary control, including monthly cash flow, P&L and balance sheet production. Additionally you will lead and organise the Audit procedures within the organisation insuring that all operations comply fully with UK/US GAAP and IFRS as well as SOX and Bank of England reporting. Additionally you will have the opportunity to work with the fund managers, assisting them in client requests, queries and pricing issues so a strong understanding of NAV, load fees and structures would be considered an asset.
The successful candidate should adhere to the following criteria:
- ACA qualified from Big4 practice firm
- Background in Investment Management audit
- Extensive experience of working within the hedge fund industry, within an Audit or Accounting function
- Excellent understanding of industry wide regulation incl. GAAP, IFRS, SOX and BoE reporting
- Knowledge of leading a team and working within a similar function for a number of years
- Exceptional communication skills are required as the role necessitates liaison with a number of business units and governing bodies
