Who they are
Our client is a global banking and financial institution, headquartered in London. With an international workforce exceeding 7000 and steadily growing despite the current climate, they are now recruiting a Balance Sheet Controller within a small team centred within Global Banking and Markets Product Control, indicative of broad growth within the business.
What you will be doing
The Balance Sheet Controller will be responsible for the monthly account ownership for Product Control, work with finance and operations to address unassigned and orphan accounts and develop clear Balance Sheet Substantiation processes to ensure MI is produced for sign-off. Specifically, the successful candidate will prepare the monthly balance sheet certificate, identify and implement processes / systems change as and when necessary and ensure all balances have been reviewed / substantiated (complete with action plans if necessary), produce timely financial information with relevant and understandable commentary and liaise extensively with all Product Control teams and Central Finance, whilst ensuring full compliance with the Global Markets.
Who they are looking for
The ideal candidate will be a qualified ACA with a thorough understanding of Product Control, proficient decision-making skills based on quantitative and qualitative analysis and an up-to-date understanding of IFRS within the context of this role.
