Duties and responsibilities include:
- planning and being in charge of audit assignments
- ensuring that the assignment is undertaken in accordance with engagement instructions
- providing briefing, supervision and on-the-job training for junior staff
- ensuring audit work is completed in line with professional standards
- ensuring audit assignments are completed within budget
- reviewing work completed by junior staff for adequacy and completeness
- performing review and completion procedures prior to manager review
- ensuring trainees are allocated a variety of jobs in order to provide a broad range of training
- preparing time-budgets for assignments
- preparing regular staff appraisals and signing off training records
- training students in audit practices
- acting as day-to-day point of contact for the client
- practicing the principles of excellent client service at all times
Skills:
ACA or ACCA qualified
Previous experience of carrying out audit related tasks.
Proven experience in client handling.
Basic salary £30,000, with career progression and promotion opportunities available.
